Helios Media Design is proud to be the creative media provider for “Can S’pore Collapse – Building A Sustainable Future” by Singapore Discovery Centre, a special feature exhibition launched on International Friendship Day 2012.
To celebrate International Friendship Day, this exhibition aims to create awareness of the susceptibility of communities to collapse and will raise discussion and thinking questions on Singapore as a case study.
It also highlights how the world is now a global village and that Singapore is now plugged into the world just as the world is plugged into Singapore
The official launch took place on 13th April where many foreign dignitaries and the Guest-of-Honor our Minister of State, Mr Masagos Zulkifli Bin Masagos Mohamad were invited to grace this event. Representatives from Brazil, Cambodia, Ecuador, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, and Poland were also present at their respective exhibition booths to introduce their countries’ unique tourism, trade and produce.
This section features efforts and strategies that various countries have undertaken to conserve their natural environment, as well as maintain their trade relations with the rest of the World.
Experience an emotive media piece in the exhibition’s 4D Mini Object Theatre that features special effects such as buttkickers (vibration), strobing lights, smoke machines and fans to dramatise the collapse of civilisations and highlight some reasons why civilisations fall.
The launch of this exhibition marks a new era of awareness among Singaporeans, as well as people from all over the world that we must be empowered in critical times and play our part as citizens of the world to build a sustainable future for ourselves!
